Wide because of twin-tube design (which is also bad for cooling). Actual piston/cylinder diameter appears to be the same as stock Bilsteins and OME Nitrochargers.

Of course, general physical arrangement is just one aspect. Shaft/oil/seal material choice all can sabotage high-temperature performance.

Interesting, points. I run on some pretty long washboard roads...maybe I should just save up for 2.5 coilovers with remote resi's

Pretty much what I envisioned when I bought my Kings. I got them on the group buy and sent them to accutune for custom valving. Still saved money and absolutely love them.
My son has the Bilstein OME with 887 and its night and day on and off road. I hit some logging roads Saturday and a friend riding with me was surprised at how fast I was going and how it rode. I was too actually.
Did I need Kings? probably not. will I use them as intended on a daily basis? probably not. But! and I say this after having them, I am glad I spent the money for them. On and off road they are nothing like I have ever owned. I've done some off roading in my time. I would be hesitant to get in any other truck now.
Who wants to bounce their kidney's off their spine like a rough country drop frame 4" lift with twin tube shocks and 37'S at max pressure? o_O:confused:
