    OP, what is your reasoning for mounting aftermarket vs oem? Have you had bad experience with Toyota brakes? Is cost the issue? Other? I'm just curious. Seriously, unless abused the Yota rotors and pads are excellent. I got 80k from my original pads and the rotors went to 120k and weren't toast yet. Shoes on rear lasted to 140k and original drums are still on the truck right now.

    If you are looking for higher performance options, there certainly are those available. Unless you are towing or hauling heavy loads frequently there is really no need for improvement. I have found the Tacoma brakes to be excellent in my 13 years of ownership.

    My OEM rotors warped (pad imprinting) at about18,000 miles. Switched to Centric and zero issues since. Love them.

    I like the akebono ceramic pads, I've had problems with those rotors warping though.

    I like the centric (black box) rotors too. They have a good quality paint job
