    Hello to all parents!
Can anyone tell me which infant car seat they are using in a Tacoma access cab? We are expecting 1st baby and will only be using Tacoma for camping and outdoor excursion trips.
Any 1st hand tips and experiences with infant car seats in access cab is greatly appreciated!

Plain and simple its the wrong truck. Most people put the child seat on the front passenger, but it leaves very little room in the rear.

I considered it but the rear facing infant seats are huge and the child is much safer in the rear of a full sized back seat, along with your wife being in the front with a proper air bag.

Best wishes! We now have a Rav4 due to my access cab debacle.

    NO !
    This is not responsible
Car seats go in the back not on the front passenger seat, the air bag will kill the kid.
Car seats do not go in jump seats.

Go buy the appropriate vehicle and be a good responsible parent.

Wrong to even insinuate that it would be ok to put a baby seat in the front.....you are correct to mention that the truck WILL NOT work for a baby.....

Sorry you are just gonna have to get rid of that truck for a DC or another vehicle cause a baby seat won't work in it. It's the cost of being a parent, I had to get rid of my convertible to safely travel with my first born.

One of the main reasons why I had to get rid of my X-Runner, I tried and tried and it doesn’t work.

When looking for my current Tacoma (DC-OR), I pondered the idea of an access and found that it wouldn't work.
+1 to the above posts saying to go for the DC. That is the only safe option.
Good luck with the car shopping, baby, etc.

Not gonna work well unless u take front seat out lol
I had the serendipitous misfortune of totaling my AC right about the time my little one came into being. DC became replacement with pangs of regret every time I see an AC lol

It’s safe and comfortable for everyone, especially your wife. Trust me, your wife bitching and complaining how uncomfortable she is because her seat is almost all the way to the front and sitting straight up gets old quick. LOL!

Thanks man! I miss that truck...the most fun vehicle I’ve ever owned. :( I will own another RR X-Runner.

its tight in my doublecab having a car seat in the back, but definetly doable, wife fits in the passenger seat just fine. Def wont work with access cab.

Note to others: if you want to keep your AC, use protection.
