ur DC 07 has the latch system. i used it in my DC 07. i used the seat in the center w/ the bottom seat latches and the back center one behind the 60* seat. exact same latches in my DC 09

it can be done with forward facing, haven't attempted a rear facing, but if it is just the car seat and not the carrier with base, it might be ok. i am 5'10, and my wife is 5'2. its our second vehicle which get little use as a family ride, but it can be done. my son will be 3 in august, so he isn't small by any means. The seat is in a pretty straight back position, which makes it hard for the little guy to sleep.

if i remove the head rests, which i am thinking about, i can gain a little space too. i haven't done it because it looks like the back of the chair will rest on glass and might scratch it. there is also the safety part of removing them, but i really cant stand the looks of em either. i cant make up my mind.

I read the whole thread and my owners manual but I am still confused. I am bringing a baby home in September. I have a double cab. Should I use a rear facing infant seat in the middle seat of the double cab back row?

    Thanks guys.

yes. in a single carseat configuration, it would be the safest place for the kiddoe and the best place to mount it as far as room for everyone else

I have an 07 and I have the latch system.

That being said, the little monkey rides shotgun with me. The airbag senses the belt isn't in and turns off the system. Or I can turn the airbag off manually but meh. It does it anyways.

    Wife rides in the back.

We generally take the Jeep if we have to go anywhere as a family.

Krazie, My owners manual gives a very strong precaution against putting a child seat in the front seat. It says only if it's unavoidable. Why not in the back?

Cause it won't fit. With the AC you can turn off the passenger airbag. You can't do that in the DC which is why it strongly suggests otherwise.

    And turn into SUPERMAN!

The thought of a possible baby was one of the main reasons I wanted a DC and got rid of my '99 xtracab. Hence getting the '07 in '08. April '09 little man arrived..
the Graco infant carrier fit with no problem behind the driver (but I am 5' 7").. but the Britax rear seat goes behind the passenger as that one I cannot have behind me... The boy is now 1, and we are getting ready to forward face him.. He will come back behind me..

I would think the AC would be more similar to my old xtracab.. TIGHT..

Well, I am due in November and we went to Baby's R Us yesterday to try out the Chicco infant car seat. It fits fine and I can sit in the passenger seat (I am 5-4). My Husband wouldn't even try to sit there but it works. Here is a link to the car seat http://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...romRegistryNumber=45423617&product_skn=103824 This is for the infant keyfit not the keyfit 30 I am not sure if you can find this without a stroller.
