Congrats! Our first will be here in Sept. Yesterday my wife and I were looking at the Chicco stroller infant carseat combo vs the Graco combo.

Is there a way to secure the carseat in the back row of a double cab with the back seats down (flat)? I say this because I have had my back seats down for almost a year. I like the flat platform that it provides for storage and transport.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
that i dont think so b/c the folded down seats will cover the connection points at the bottom, not to mention the seat would be more prone to move on the harder, flat surface

Don't agree with the harder surface thing. They AC seats have the under seat storage bins and that is what the kids seat goes on. If it's strapped down- It's strapped down.

But I would agree you'll lose the latch connections and stuff

I'll take a real good critical look once I get my hands on the car seat. My back seats have seat covers and I have a large gray towel that rests on top of the folded down seats. But either way, it must be very secure or its a no-go.
