Barcelona red here. I noticed a couple of months ago that my door handles started to look this way. The rest of the vehicle appears to be OK. The metalic in my paint was always hard to see.

Assume HMSL is the light on the back of the roof behind the shark fin? Which one did you switch to? Did you do anything else like this ceramic seal people are talking about? I'd hate to spend a couple grand and then have this issue in another 3-5 years. Did your hood survive the problem somehow? Thanks for the info!

Here's my roof now... just getting started I assume, and my passenger RVM. BAD RVM cover is from a few years back. Probably only a couple years old when it happened.

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
The shop just put on a new factory light which I was told had been updated. As far as any special coatings, no. I just waited for the paint to cure and then washed and put on a good wax. The rest of the truck including the hood still look pretty good, knock on wood. I will say, the clear on the roof looks much deeper/thicker than the razor thin coating of the factory clear.

And for $2k, I may go park in front of a little league baseball game and hope the roof gets dented so it's a comp insurance claim, lol.
