Based on inventory numbers I have seen around the state of AZ, particularly in Sport and TRD OR trims I would have to say the Inferno and Quicksand are the most commonly available. The Silver, MGM and Black seem to be some of the the hardest to find with White being the real Unicorn. I also have not seen too many Barcelona Red.

Blazing Blue Pearl seems to be right behind Inferno and Quicksand in availability so I guess those three are either the most produced colors or are just not as popular on the market.

I hadn't seen quicksand in person so I had my dealer looking for a silver or white off road. After seeing the quicksand in person I knew it was the truck for me. Maybe others are doing the same thing I did and going the safe route and snatching up the basics like silver and white.

I couldn't sell my lady on the Quicksand. She said it looked like a dirty baby diaper. The Barcelona red looked like an old man truck she said. The Inferno was ugly and the Blue was a Hell No. She prefers White, MGM or Silver. I prefer White as well so I'm waiting for a White one. MGM just shows too much dirt for me and I feel like I'd get bored with silver too quickly. My previous Yota was White and the white and silver won't show the desert pin-stripes so badly as the MGM would. I have a black beamer and it looks sharp when it is clean... that's WHEN it is clean. It's dusty within 2 hours after washing out here.

The Inferno and Quicksand are definitely the least "safe" colors. People can't go wrong with silver or black or white. Look around next time you're driving. I'd venture to say that 90% of cars are white, black, or some variation of silver/gray.

You hit the nail on the head. Also the color matching for some of those more "unique" colors can be a pain for body shops. Particularly on those pearl colors -- not a problem for the Tacoma obviously -- but the tri-coat paints like Diamond Pearl/White is some of the hardest stuff to repair according to my buddy who runs a paint & body shop. He says he hates to work on those off colors.

I went with the inferno after 20 years of silver and black car ownership.

I originally ordered quicksand, chickened out and changed to white two weeks later.

I ordered silver since black is too hot in the summer and although I generally buy white vehicles, I always hear that it's an old man color from The Woman...

I've heard car dealers call "Gold" -- Old Man Tan. Never would take a gold one lol

I went with Inferno because it stands out. My last 3 4Runners were Silver, White, and now Grey. I'm tired of bland colors. Inferno will also help me find my truck when I get lost out hunting :D

My Wrangler before this was silver. I took the safe route with silver and sure it never looked bad but it also never looked great. I'm happy with my decision to go quicksand and I'd guess that many who were unsure about the color will change their opinion once they see it in person.

One can never have too many light bars.
Only reason I would never consider inferno is because red is a cop magnet.

Not much demand for orange cars or cars that are painted the color of sand. Both are ugly 9/10.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They tend to be worth more down the road too

I'm sure they are.. everybody fights for bright orange vehicles, that's why you see so many on the road everyday.

Nobody wants black, white, silver, or gold metallics.

I agree. Never liked this color until I saw it in person. Looks MUCH better in person.
