After weeks of waiting for the truck - and second guessing the color choice - I can't imagine having another color. Blacked out badges, grill, decals, etc on this color is incredible. Compliments every single day on the new rig.

Picked up my inferno tow hook today, pics as promised:

I think it turned out pretty sharp. The undercarriage of my SR is starting to look pretty good with along with that pelfreybilt skid and TRDOR Bilstiens. :D

The only pic I got otherwise turned out lousy because I was facing into the sun:
Next up is getting the other welded on loop hit with a quick splash of Inferno as well.

I know it doesn't have the same presence as the whole car being Inferno, but I make do with what I have. :p

I'm sort of on the fence about maybe getting the calipers hit in inferno as well, or just making some color matched center cap decals.

Since getting my truck back in late November I have been somewhat obsessed with anything orange. Anyone else have this same affliction since buying your truck?

Today I saw an orange Ram truck and an Honda Civic...Civic was in front of me and the Ram was on the side. I'll see if I can find pics on the internetterwebs.

Here's the color I saw today, truck wasn't as decked out. This orange looked pale...not as sharp as Inferno.

This is similar to the Honda I saw today. So weird to have three orange cars on the street near each other.

I've liked orange/red for a long time before the truck.

Here's a 1970 Cuda. It's my understanding that the emergence of the muscle cars in the 1960's started the bright color trends. Started seeing orange, bright greens, yellows, etc...

I was watching an episode of Graveyard cars and they were talking about what goes into making this particular orange color for the Cudas. Apparently it's one of the most technically difficult colors to make. Not sure if that means all orange paint is hard to make, or just that particular Cuda orange. I thought it was interesting.

By the way, Inferno touch up paint can be bought through Toyota for $16. I thought this was a reasonable price so I bought some just in case this color gets hard to find.

You should check out that show Graveyard cars on Velocity channel. You could probably find it on line as well. The owner of the shop is a genius...he knows every minutia of the mopars. I knew nothing about these cars, but I have gained a huge appreciation for them after following the show. They find the most pitted out rust buckets that most people wouldn't attempt to save.

Inferno reminds me of the hugger orange of that era.

I do like that show. I have restored 6 71/72 GTX and Road Runners.
