I feel ya. Having lived in the southeast for a couple decades, Im so happy to be out west and near enough to snow to enjoy it, but far enough that its not 6 months of winter!

2 weeks of snow out of the year would be perfect!

Better yet, live where it's warm through the winter, but can 4-wheel to the snow if you wish it.

So has anyone put black vinyl on the mirror caps? I was going to black the roof out and wondering if anyone has done it to the mirrors on their inferno.

It looks pretty good. There's a pic floating around from awhile back that shows black mirror caps and door handles on a TRD offroad. I'll try and find it for you. Doing this though, is taking a huge step back into the 2nd gen pond scum territory. They come with unpainted side view mirrors. Pfffft. I guess if you want to look cheap, go for it.

Post a picture if you do the roof. The other day I was wondering how it would look in gloss black vinyl!

Not mine, but this guy did it.

Im looking more for roof protection than style, but I like the blacked out roof look too.

I was thinking protection would be a bonus. I am actually not keen on that. especially how it wraps down the back. I may however had to do the vent on my hood in black. That looks sharp!

At home I park under a big oak tree, so I got squirrels dropping nuts, birds pooping, and sap always dripping on my roof... then when the pollen mixes with the sap it makes a thick brown paste that does not wash off.... not to mention the truck gets covered in ants that eat the sap all day.

after all that, still has silver mirror turn signals...

I went the MESO route and just got black signals and kept the inferno mirrors

:rofl:Agreed that's the best look. But to be fair I don't think the meso blackout turns were around in May of 2016 when the pic was posted. I'm not sure though.
