That's a horrible idea. What time?
    Did some stuff.

So this came in a month ago. I used the weekends to prep and let it sit during the week as I tend to rush paint projects. Following the wire wheel and degreaser was two coats of self etching primer, then a roll on bedliner without the rubber pieces mixed in. The roller gives it the texture.

    20210628_173842.jpg

Saturday was prep the bumper with winch and light mounts at a good friends house. Then home to install the sliders. Sunday was bumper day followed by spooling the winch on Monday.

Relentless Fabrication's Summmit bumper with center hoop and filler plate. Ironman 4X4 9500 lb winch, Diode Dynamics SS3 Sports (new) on the bumper, and Rigid amber hyper spots (transferred from the bull bar) for the pea soup drive by the map fog. Also added the Cascadia flip up (or down in my case) lisence plate braket that mounts on the hause fairlead.

Explore Overland's bolt on sliders. Purchased raw. Cleaned, self etching primer, and Rhino Liner 1k rattle can bedliner. This I rushed to get the installs done. We'll have to see how it holds up.

Ironman 4X4 winch came with 95 feet of synthetic rope, safety anchor with internal pouches for wieght, remote or plug in operation, and a breather with extension hose to dissipate heat. They say the winch can operate under water, but I can't help but thinking how bad the situation must be if you need to do that. I did walk the truck up the hill without an issue.

Only a few more things to do and she'll be ready to a possible trip west this fall. Maybe headed toward @Cuffs in October.

I'm hoping to get there. We are taking a week in the Grand Canyon in October. I'm considering adding a two weeks and driving out and picking up my wife at an airport.

Thank you. I researched and talked to people with various bumpers. Quality and fitment kept coming up in a lot of the conversations about bumpers. Except yours. My toughest decision was plate vs hybrid.

Well I finally added my matching headlight trim pieces and a custom fit windshield sun shade. I had those headlight trim pieces I bet for over 3 years just sitting on the shelf.

Had some Bilstein 5110s installed today plus installed an Icon AAL two weeks ago (actually swapped the entire leaf pack with a friend). Took it up to the dirt track so fast that I forgot to grab the old shocks from the shop and had to drive back! Glamour shot on the hill.

With a full tank of gas, the rear settled into 1.5” higher than our original measurement and the front is 1” higher. It’s perfect and the tow hitch is 2” so all around I’d call that a resounding success. Hopefully I'll scrape the ass end slightly less frequently.

Aw shucks, thanks! I don't know why it looked so clean. I compulsively power washed the wheel wells this morning after posting the photo.

Glad I'm not the only one who compulsively cleans their wheel wells as well. Can't stand having a bunch of crap built up in them.
