    Hello all,

I'm currently looking at putting an Infinity BassLink subwoofer (orig. model) into the back of the access cab area... (Again, a 2007 Tacoma ACCESS cab.)

This is a self powered, stand alone, somewhat compact sub, just to round out the factory setup...Not broadcasting my tunes, just overcoming the road noise on the bottom end.

I'd read in a review of the item, (from a Tacoma owner,) that the danged thing would fit snugly under the passenger seat. So I bought one. That's not what I've found, so it looks like I'm working in the back of the cab.

I'm leaning towards a removable or modular concept as I usually have the jump seats down to accommodate my horse size dog. But some of the time, I have the "seats" up and the back is sans doggie. That's when the sub would be "dropped in."

So far, here's my plan... Just mount the thing to an appropriately sized piece of 1 inch plate steel and let it float/sit in the foot well space with a quick connect line in. I assume the desired direct mount to a steel panel or solid surface is to inhibit resonance. (It would also be fastened safely so that it would not become a murderlator in a roll over, of course.)

There doesn't seem to be a decent place to mount off the panels or floor without major modifications so I thought I'd offer the puzzle to my new found genius friends... Perhaps somebody out there has come across this before.

Thank you for any and all suggestions... Carry on...

Welcome to Tacoma World. I'd suggest posting that question in a new thread in either the audio section of the forum or the 2nd gen section. I don't think you'll get any answers here because it's just the introduction section of the forums.
