Wow! This is extremely well written, reads like out of a textbook. Great way to gain some knowledge on how the 1GR works.

    Thanks for sharing.

I wish I knew more about engines to be more appreciative of this. I'll save it. Who knows maybe it'll come in handy one day :)

    SAY WHAT ?????
    do we have this ???
    12. Cranking Hold Function
    General
Once the ignition switch is turned to the START position, this function operates the starter until the engine
starts, without having to hold the ignition switch in the START position. This prevents application of the
starter for an inadequate length of time and it also prevents the engine from being cranked after it has
    started.
When the ECM detects a start signal from the ignition switch, it monitors engine speed (NE) and operates
the starter until it determines that the engine has started. If the engine has already started, the ECM will
not operate the starter, even if the ECM receives a start signal from the ignition switch.

No, we don't. We also don't have the air injection system...unless you drive a 2012 or newer.

No, unfortunately not, i am so used to that style starting system at work, that i often get in my truck and try to flip my ignition so it can auto crank and start right up, only to remember i dont have that!!!
