I am looking for information on the possibility of using Hilux rear springs on my 17 TRD OR. I am currently running OME HD but need a bit more spring rate. Any information on utilizing HIlux leafs on a third gen would be appreciated.

    Hilux is a different truck

If you need a higher spring rate use an OME add a leaf or switch to something like Deaver Expos 3. They both are Taco specific and will get the job done better than a product not meant for your truck at all.

They probably won't work unfortunately, and if they did it wouldn't be a huge difference

Deavers or AAL would definitely work out better as stated above

The Hilux springs are too short, roughly 24" from the center pin to the center of the forward mounted bushing. Tacomas have about 27.5" for this measurement.
