Hi I am planning on ordering a 2016 tacoma soon and was looking at the Toyota build your own website. In my area code it shows a TRD OFFROAD is not available in BLUE or Inferno??? If I get the dealer to order one for me can they get it in these colors?

That "build your own" tool sucks. It will pull up trucks that you can not get, and it will not find ones that you can get. It's best to go to the dealer, and have patience. You might have to wait for the perfect truck, but it's worth it.

They tried to convince me to get an automatic. Than they were asking what other colors I might consider...etc. I told them there's no deal unless they find the exact set of options I want. Took 6 weeks.

I waited a few weeks for mine to arrive. I told them what I wanted and then the dealer found me a few options. You can order one to the exact specs you want, compromise for something on the lot, wait for something they have coming in and put a deposit (credit card hold) on it, or search the country for what you want and travel to get it.

Depending on where you are... Your options and price might greatly vary from others.

Where are you and what is your dream truck (the dream truck you can afford)?

Not sure if you have several dealers in your area, but I had one dealer find the exact truck I wanted and got the VIN. From there I went to the 4 local dealers in my area and had them each give me their best price and interest rate. It was amazing how bad each dealer wanted to beat out the other. Never buying another vehicle any other way.
