    here are some basic info about the stock sub in a 2006 Double Cab

    subwoofer mounting depth. 3-3/16"

    enclosure depth to bracing/webbing. 3-15/16"

    approx depth of bracing/webbing. .5"

    Wow thanks for working this up! So now the question is what can we do with this info? Are there other subs that might work better than the stock one and will we need an amp to drive it? What is driving it now? What is the size of the sub, it looks like an 8.

    i stuffed the enclosure with polyfil, added some deadener to the outside and connected it to a 150wpc amp and 880prs doing sound correction duty.

    although, it's not capable of much volume/spl, i'm pretty happy with the sound quality.

    i don't know the volume. you could fill it with water and measure the volume, that way.

    not sure of the stock amp output.

    What size is the stock jbl sub and does it come with an amp or do you have to supply one or what??

    This might sound like a stupid question, but is the oem jbl box 100% sealed ? or does it apear to be ?
