And as pointed out, ban or no ban, any information that is missing is missing at the request of the original poster.

That is something that Bob does not legally need to do, as anything posted to the forum becomes property of TW. Bob could tell a user requesting deletion "tough shit, it's staying right where it is"

So the entire point of the suggestion is moot.

I can vouch for getting out of line before.... I got private messages asking what was going on and they were very civil and never threatening.

If ur referring to any info of mine at all, I was not banned.... I asked Bob to delete my prior account for personal reasons and was offered more than 1 time if I would like my account ..... I can't remember the term used, but it was kinda like my account would be placed on " standby" if I wanted to come back. I declined this as I did not see myself coming back.... A few good members/friends brought me back around and I am glad.

I had 1 ban I believe..... But even that was requested because my own dumbass needed to get work done around the house, and Tacoma world is addicting and I was always on here instead. I don't remember infractions, I always got a private message first and it was enough for me to pull my head out of my ass. Most times I was having problems at home and frustrated... In turn acted like a child and spewed crap here.... Moderators and Bob contacted me since it wasn't my usual behavior... After some back and forth private messaging, things (my personal issues) were resolved.

I'm pretty sure unless its waaaaay out of line, warnings are issued and a chance is given. The staff I believe discuss amongst each other any issues and agree on a decision together so all is fair.

I do agree as someone posted above, any hacking of a site, or willful placement of links to malware/virii should be an immediate permaban and IP ban.

This is unless of course the forum in question (tw not being one of them) is about hacking, malware, virii, wares, and the links are preceeded by a large disclaimer and in a proper thread/ subforum... Again this has no relevance to tw, but I do understand some forums do cater to other topics.

All BS aside.... And I'm not kissing any ass here.... I don't get along with some staff and that's unfortunate and my fault.......
I don't know how hard the job is, but I think they do a good job especially considering the ratio.

Again.. No kissing ass, just giving my opinion.... Its no secret I don't get along with some members here and some staff. I try to tell things how they are and sometimes its not a great idea. Just hope that adds to my credibility when I say I feel the staff do a good job.

These discussions are always amusing. I mean we all agreed to the code of conduct, terms of service or whatever it is called on your favorite forum. And for the most part, this site runs pretty well and according to that code of conduct.

Being a moderator/administrator on any large site isn't easy and it takes a shit ton of work in addition to any participating you want to do outside of moderating. Between the two sites I work on, I probably spend a few hours each day just doing daily maintenance without participating.

So in a way, I think starting a thread saying "you ought to do stuff differently" when you're not really sure how it works to begin with, is sort of disrespectful of the work these guys put in. Just my opinion.

this is agreat idea. Supramania.com one of the supra forums im a member on does this. Mods give you warnings. If you get more then 2 your banned for a tempt ban. After that if you get past your 2 warnings again, perniment ban.

The infractions also expire. So if your are good for a long time after recieveing you infraction it won't count towards your ban. I have no idea how long that time period is.

I will also say it is the CLEANEST most well posted forum i have EVER been on. No one posts out of place or says bad things.

They have A LOT more rules in general though..you can even post in the FS threads unless 100% serious..or you get an infraction.

I like it as it is now. We have infractions already.

my only complaint is how things can get out of hand when all the mods are in sleepy land
