That would piss me off lol. Pick some up from Lowes or Home Depot and try them out. Feldman's is a great resource for welding supplies as well.

Yeah, I dunno. On the one hand quality control on aftermarket stuff varies wildly so I can see them wanting to keep a lid on it, but it still seems like a dick move.

I'm like 5 min from a feldmans and never gone in, guess I'll go check it out.

Welp, plan on a long trip. Always check the clearance section and stop by the trailer section too. They have weldable d-rings and other useful trailer building parts.

Win. Looks like there are a couple different threads, but mine just wants 1/4-28

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Glad to help. Feldmans is my go-to place for hardware and welding rods. They carry US Forge brand rods and there are a ton of good offerings from them.

2.5" Fox relocation * Hammer hanger * Archive MD springs
Doing the 64" Chevy springs has some negatives, labor, welding, generally poor shackle arrangement that can reduce ride quality and make handling more squishy. Consider bolting in some stock location springs and getting Hammer hangers.

Also, you probably know, but getting travel out of 64" springs or aftermarket stock location springs requires a shock relocation. Most stock location aftermarket springs can use 12" of shock

Yeah, I'm actually reconsidering the 63" springs. I have recently seen how much droop even Dakars and extended travel shocks can have, so I might not go the troublesome route of GM springs. Springs are actually close to the end of the list of things to do anyway.

Right now I am out-wheeling my nonexistent armor, so it'll be a while before I commit to more suspension stuff. I don't mind the cutting and welding at all, I was actually looking forward to it. All things considered, if performance is similar for my need, I'll opt for less work.

Don't worry, I'll keep you in the loop ;)

Feldman's is great. Nothing like getting pants, dog food, and chainsaw parts all in one stop

They have the best hardware selection, honestly. Plus, I have Stihl equipment so there's that.

They have an insane BBQ section now.

I tried on 2 pairs of boots from the clearance section, recon'd the bolt section, and drooled over the kamado joes on this trip too

I guess the manager was a bit on edge because corporate wasn't communicating and he thought I was mad at them or something lol

I told him I thought a 28 min turnaround was amazing and I understood that communication can be killer sometimes. I just wanted my wheels lol. At $113ish per wheel, I just didn't want to miss my price match window.

@Discount Tire you guys are always great and the Liberty, MO location has never disappointed us on any of our vehicles. They went above and beyond this morning though.

The clearance section is addictive. Sometimes I just stop by to check it out on my way home :spending:

No kidding. I've had to be careful in the past. Boots would have been nice though, my work boots are beyond done. But they didn't have any that fit well - but $50 would have been a steal. :pout:

My evening started very well with a nice walk with the dogs and skipping around getting the welder ready for Friday Porter and Projects.

    awwyiss.jpg

I even found some more stickers that will definitely grace the outside of my new welder (I'm willing to trade :drevil:)

    sticks.jpg

And of course, no good day or mood could possibly last until I go to sleep.

I found the stickers in my electronics workroom and happened to glance up. That's when things turned veeeery quickly to:

"HOLY FAWK WHY IS THE CIELING IN MY ELECTRONICS ROOM SOPPING WET AND WHERE IS MY DRYWALL SAW AND WHY DON'T I HAVE ANY EMPTY BUCKETS FFS!?!?"

    faaaawk.jpg

    LESSON:
BUY NAME BRAND REFRIGERATOR WATER FILTERS.

Don't make a small PP move like me and get two "Waten" brand filters for the price of one GE brand...

Bummer. Nothing like thinking you fixed one thing only to break two more. I might have another filter somewhere but idk if it'll work for you.

    Also...
I came, I saw, I liked everything and subbed.

I won't trust a filter anymore unless I pluck it from GE's wrinkly butt hole myself.

I just want a new fridge tbh. This thing is old, has broken drawers, the water comes out 'flavored' :puke:, and there's not enough freezer space (but there never is anyway). :notsure:

Pony up for a deep freezer. It doesn't cycle temperatures to defrost like a normal fridge, so things actually keep longer. Plus, the extra space means you can buy in bulk more often.
