It's that time of year again. EXCEPT DIFFERENT!

I got tired of rattle cans so I went all in on a gallon of Fluidfilm and an applicator. Should be waaaay faster.

I'm also going to pretend to care about my paint and headlight clarity. The other junk is for that... I'm not a detailing guy and this is like pulling teeth for me but I can't bear paying somebody else to do it. Blurry picture because I have grubby fingers :bananadead:

I should probably fluid film mine... How much did the setup run?
I'm not proud, I'll pay to have mine detailed by a friend of mine  I'm lazy.

$55 on Amazon for the FF and sprayer, but the sprayer I got doesn't come with a bottle or a quick disconnect fitting, I already had both. Fluidfilm tends to go up in price the closer we get to winter, so I bought a bit early.

The gallon should be enough to cover 2 vehicles. I'd offer to let you use the other half, but I'm doing my neighbor's 4runner :(

No worries. I'm just seeing more an more undercarriage coating photos circulating around the interwebs for our trucks and I'm just over here like 'damn, I should probably do that'.

Yeah, I'm planning to get the detail done soonish so once its all clean I'll run the pressure washer all in the nooks and crannies under the truck than hit it with something. Maybe. Did I mention I'm lazy?

You wanna come stretch the ol' truck's legs out? Thinking about a small run to KRRP soonish.

Yes, yes, yes. My plans for this weekend fell through, so I have Friday through Monday off. As an alternative plan (because it's my Birthday on Saturday and I didn't want to waste the weekend) I was trying to get my T4R neighbor to come with me to KRRP but with their kids and dogs, they weren't into it.

I have been leaning on the idea of just heading to Bentonville for a mountain bike trip instead, but if peeps wanna roll trails, I'm in.

I'm going to start throwing some other random projects up on the first post so that I can keep track of the stuff I have done. I don't take many pictures but I'm running across some things I forgot that I even made...

Are the brass pads threaded into the aluminum head?

Heat/ freeze and press fit. I planned on threading it but I needed it to stay put and be done fast. Plus, when I realized that I'd have to swap the change gears and tooling on my lathe to do the thread on the back side of the pad... well, you know... my laziness won out over my hobby machinist inclinations.

I actually gifted this one to my fiancé's grandpa for him to do some hardwood inlays on a desk he was building for her uncle... I know, that's a tree and a half to follow, but the guy is a genius woodworker and he loved the thing so I let him keep it.

I have the stock to do another one, I just need the time. You want one?

I'll start laying it out. It'll be a bit different, I don't have the exact measurements from the first one.

I have more hex stock now than I did then if you're into that look.

    I found another one!

Here's a discharge chute flange for a tow-behind wood chipper. I didn't run the table for this one or install it, but I did the cad work as a rush job.

    Welp, I'm back.

I have been getting an intermittent pop from my rear end as well as some humming/ howling this past week. I changed the rear diff fluid about 8k miles ago and decided to do it again and see what there was to see.

This isn't what I was hoping for :bananadead:
