Initial break-in period

Thank God I'm through with that annoying initial break-in period! Now I can start really driving 'er like she's meant to be driven!!!

Wish I could say the same, have 70k on my '06, be a couple more years before she's completely broke in.

 

I have a long ways to go, I'm at just over 9,500.

 

Been a great truck so far! And it's not like I've babied it for the first 100K! I plow with it, I tow with it, the supercharger has talked me into more than one light-to-light challenge, and she's just taken it all in stride. Could not be more happy with my Taco thus far!

 

Picked my 2015 Double Cab Limited 4X4 Pyrite Mica this afternoon. Total of 102 miles. Love the thing, plus reminds of my old 1997 T100, only more sophisticated!

 

Hope you changed the trans fluid at least once.

 

Damn. I still have another 80k miles to go before being broken in.

 

I have an 09 189000KM 118000Miles. I have't touched the tran fluid and shifts perfect.

 

^You won't notice anything until a seal goes, then it's out for a rebuild...

 

You ignore all the fluid intervals or just that one ?

 

Just that one OZ. All other maintenance I do religiously

 

That's an odd way to do it

 

A buddy of mine with an 08 did his first tranny fluid change at 100k then it started to slip

 

So you're never going to change yours

 

I'll do it at 250000km 156000 Miles

 

What's the reasoning behind roughly tripling the Canadian interval ?

 

I keep my buddies taco in mind for some reason. His isn't the first one i've heard with problems after changing it
