I was starting to lean toward a 4Runner, just posted a thread about it yesterday, but after looking through your thread....wow! That truck looks sick!

There's been some much negativity toward the new front-ends, but hell....it looks ridiculously good to me....congrats. I just might get the same exact truck...looks great in silver.

I'm not the first to say this, but the front end does not look bad at all in person...IMO. Compared to everything else available in the segment, it looks badass.

I like everything better about it except for the grill and the crawl control noise. The verdict is still out on the new transmission durability with towing heavy loads. The second generation Tacoma 5 speed, also used in the Tundra, is almost indestructible. The crawl control noise is a deal breaker for me.

I don't see why the crawl control noise is an issue. It was surprising to me since none of the release/test video's showed of mentioned it.

Never thought I'd need it but it does work well.

It works well to read codes on the fly. We were driving to San Diego and my Sentra flew a code. I plugged in the scanner and my wife opened the app and read to me that the gas gauge hadn't reported a fuel level in a while.

I could get used to it knowing that's nothing wrong with it. I guess I'm a little jealous. Beautiful truck.

Agreed. I was never really horrified by the grill like some but when I saw the truck in person all I thought was damn, that's a nice looking truck.

Did the moonroof come with a factory tint? If not, did you get it tinted?

Just curious. Does the moonroof have a shade that can be drawn? The reason I ask it would seem that even with a tinted moonroof, the sun beating down on the moonroof would add to heating up the cab.

Reason I ask I had a 260z many years ago with a removal T top. The glass was tinted, but without a head liner plug (shade), during the summer it was miserable.

    Yes it has a shade.

Out off-roading today and got a hole in the tread. Must have been from a rock not the cactus stuck in the side.

Should I go with BFG KO2's?

Going to go with 265/75's for now.
Hole is in the main thread not the side wall.

WOW! That's a great looking truck, and I really like the color. The Off-Road version really does it for me. Congratulations!

Had to put the spare on. I was 5 miles from a paved road. Going with 265/75's. Did not want to this so quick but I gotta have reliable tires.
Hole is to big to repair in the thread :(
