I just stopped by the dealership since they were closed. Had a 2016 sport in silver. Yes, the darker silver looks great. Not the first time I've seen the trucks in person but, as has been said, they look much better in person.

Are you having any rubbing issues with the 265/75/16 KO2's on stock suspension?

It will be sweet to see one of the 2016's outfitted with LED's, I know that is what I want to do when the 2016's finally make it to Canada and I can get one...

Top-notch review, very very much appreciated. This review is better than any professional publication and more thorough than anything I have read regarding the 2016 Tacoma. I'm gonna toast a beer to you but will drink it myself so it's not wasted.

I'm in Massachusetts and checked out at least five dealers because I do drive a shit ton for work. Not one of them has a 2016 and they looked at me like I have two heads when I ask about it

There are at least six in Las Vegas now (Findlay Toyota in Henderson, NV). Most were TRD Sport's: Quick Sand, MGM, Silver, and 2x Red. Ones I peeked in were AT's.

I think in pictures it looks huge but standing in front of it looks proportioned quite well.

Very nice review. I saw one at the dealership today. I was looking to buy a Prius to replace an aging Versa, but didn't go through with it. Anyhow it was sitting in front of the dealership showroom floor and I just had check it out. It's a nice looking truck for sure, but that hood is indeed a bit long, as least for me anyway. Please continue to update!

Nice truck. I love mine too. I wasn't sure if I needed the traction select so I opted for just the Off Road 4x4 Sport. Do you have electric adjustable seats or just manual type? The hood is a little hard to see over in some off road conditions, but I love the truck.

It's either the Off Road or the Sport. It can't be both.

    Maybe you mean 4x4 Sport?

Mike, thanks for a professional write up. Best of luck with it. BTW, I think your outside thermometer is broken, it's reading 107.:D

While we're waiting for OP's next picture post (much less 2016's in the east!), hoping someone can help. I've read through all the Sport/OR specs on Toyota's site and I can't find a couple of answers related to Sport/OR versions - maybe y'all can help or point me in the right direction:

    1) Are there differences in the leaf springs between OR/Sport that might affect towing?
    2) I gather the OR suspension tuning is "softer" (?) for off-road, but a number of media reviews said it felt harsh/loud on concrete pavement seams. Maybe just a bad road? What is the actual difference in tuning and when would you notice?
    3) What do the SR/SR5/Sport have for traction control beyond 4x4? LSD? How effective is it?
    4) I love driving a manual transmission, but aside from the e-locker, most of the traction control on the OR is for automatic only (hills, crawl, etc.). What is the OR traction control for manual transmission and how does it work? I guess the question for a manual is, "Is there any point in the OR if you get manual?" (other than the e-locker)

    Thanks all!
