Nothing needs to be posted. People need to read their owners manual. ..but you know. ...

My rule #37 for buying a new vehicle. Never buy one that has been test driven by anyone else. F-that noise.

Unless you own a porshe. Read how they break in those engines.

What, like don't start/stop suddenly, go above 4200rpm, and don't take it to the track (yet)?

They have a number of them out here at dealerships in Maryland. One dealership had 14 of them on the lot. Most of them are SR5. Some dealers have a number of Sports. However I have not seen that many OR or Limited models

I read the first few pages of this thread several months ago when I was considering buying a Gen 3. Well, today I bought one. Silver, DCSB Off Road. I like it! Not sure if the OP should get the blame - or the credit! I haven't caught up yet on the 45 pages in between, so I hope he's still happy ...

    OP is happy with truck.
OP could care less about revving engine ONCE before recommended.

^ OP wins OP's thread. How much OP can OP OP if OP can OP OP? This much.

Day late...dollar short. Nonetheless, this is an outstanding review. This thread gets bookmarked for sure. I have the same Taco, less the moonroof. I am enjoying it and plan to take it off road from time to time...sadly, mostly daily driver.

At 4200 miles or so the tranny has settled in, driving habits adjusted, fan of ECT when I need it, still likes to downshift when in 6th but theres nothing wrong with that unless your on flat top with no hills, that can be slightly annoying. Otherwise I like it, no complaints.
Beside the tranny, all the techno gadgets I have learned to adjust, again no complaints.

The big irony of it all is my lift package, too bad Bilstein is on the lagging edge. I have to think they are looking for coil over options and how to market them at a competitive level with Icon, Kings and others. We'll see. Kinda chompin on the bit as 5100's are off the table for me.

I'm waiting for that new adjustable OME kit comes out. That could be very interesting. Icon is a great choice too though ... But a part of me would rather put the $ towards an old 80's Toyota Pickup, do SAS and drop a 4BT in it ... And keep my nice new Tacoma, nice.

I'll probably do 5100's to level my '16 around 30-50k when the factory struts start to feel worn (SE MI roads are brutal... Don't expect long life from those components). But if I ever got an urge to go bigger it'll be Icon or OME :)

Silly question. How do you open the cargo bed 3rd light? The previous gen Tacos had two screws. Does this new cover just pop off?

I looked through your original pictures. It's so clean! Mine looks nothing like that underneath, now!
