Injen Intake + TRD Exhaust = LOUDER

Just installed the Injen CAI on my 2021 Pro and wow did it make a difference in sound.

The exhaust is much more throaty on partial throttle and absolutely screams above 5,000 RPMs.

I expected a difference in higher RPMs but the increase of aggression in the sound was a welcome change in the lower RPM range.

Might not be a cup of tea for everyone, just putting it out there.

 

i like how the trd exhaust is pretty subdued if im being honest. its virtually non existent when its at idle, basically sounds like the stock exhaust. but when you get on it especially when you have an intake it gets aggressive till about 4k. after 4k it gets drowned out by the growl of the intake. now if you add a urd ypipe to the mix then youll have audio bliss; more audible at idle, bright and throaty through the mid and upper rpm range, and no drone at cruising speed.

 

So the improvement was for engine sound?

Injen intake is probably the absolute last thing I would install on my taco….completely worthless
