Lol just me, no pets, looking in colton since I'm doing residency at Arrowhead Hospital but I hear I might get robbed and/or shot if I live anywhere but Rancho or river side

That is bullshit. There are plenty of other "safe" neighborhoods and cities. Highland, Redlands, Yucaipa, and Loma Linda are all safe areas (in addition to Rancho and Riverside). And while San Bernardino is overall a rough city, there are neighborhoods near the university (CSUSB) that are very safe. Upland is also pretty safe. People like to shit on the IE but it is just like any other metropolitan area really.

I used to live in North San Bernardino near CSUSB from 2007 until 2017 . It was nice there up until about 2013 but then started noticing more and more SBC Sheriff's patrolling and running calls in the area . Even noticed the Sheriff's Helicopter responding to calls

Quite a few times I heard gunfire and finally what got me to move was the Northpark Elementary School shooting . I've since moved up to the High Desert and it's much quieter here than down the hill

I don't have too much direct experience with those areas, but they are known to be rougher areas. I substitute taught at a middle school in Colton for a while, and it definitely seemed on the rougher side. I am sure that if there are apartments directly adjacent to Arrowhead hospital that they will be fine, but I would check out any other area personally in Colton or Rialto before moving in.

To be fair, the last time I was in North San Bernardino near CSUSB was around 2012 to visit my brother who was going to school there, so it may have changed as you said. However, when I was looking for new teaching gigs a couple months ago, I had some people warn me about "rough" schools in the high desert, as well as some of the "rough" schools on this side of the hill.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Grand Terrace, Loma Linda some parts of colton. If you are in medical residency, there's a network amongst llu/armc/va peeps that turn over rentals only to other peeps. Rancho is nice but crowded imho. Riverside is in between (grew up there) but the drive is the suck. Redlands is cool but again now dealing with more traffic than ideal.

They're just ignorant dumb fucks that are jealous, plus most of the crime comes from people running from LA county. True fact.

All cities have their shit areas. Look over newer places in those cities, There's plenty. Lots of people bringing crime and garbage from LA that's the real reality here in the IE.

Just a heads up to anyone looking for a TRD Pro grill. There's a place in Montclair called Patron that has them for $100 and the garnish for $50. I picked one up today.

They also have the version with the Raptor style lights, not sure on the price of those.

There's a place on Center off the 215. I'll post the business card later. I've taken my truck there a few times.
