Haha. I hear ya. We were more just looking for them and enjoying finding new back roads with the Toyota’s.

Good idea not too. I used to work in the mining industry on two occasions and the warning was always "Stay Out, Stay Alive". You are open to getting killed by the following: collapses, rock bursts (strain in the rock is released suddenly and violently), dangerous gases, Mineral decomposition - for example pyrite (fools gold) decomposing releases SO2 which will kill you.

Plus, who knows where you are and how to find you? Do you want the winch on your Taco used to hoist out your corpse?

Get a drone with a light and fly in to check it out.

Are the roads open up to Brown's Lake? Before the fires a few years ago we used to go up to South Baldy. I thought I heard all that was closed because of the fires but that's been a few years ago.

Also have you checked out the road to Kalispell Peak?

Lots of roads on the east side of the pend orielle river in the colville/Kaniksu natl forests. We found this little lake in the middle of nowhere exploring during elk hunt. Planning to go back and camp there this summer

Where is that at? I’d like to check it out? I know you said Callispel Peak, but I’ve never heard of that

All the places you guys are talking about are very familiar to me.

I'm interested in exploring the trails listed here in the Kettle Falls area. Ive been on a lot of back roads and fire trails in that area but not those specifically.

Great link! I’d be curious if the difficulty of these trails. Might have to check them out this summer

Be prepared to scratch the hell out of your rig if you try and do any of those ones. Better suited for a Jeep or RZR

And I’m currently shopping for one. Maybe we will have to head up there when it’s not snowed in

That would be a definite YES

Just remember that WA requires you to have a trail model if you plan to ride ATV trails
