Okay thanks! I was thinking about order some. I was hesitant because it says it need 1” diameter of more clearance for the boot and I didn’t know how to properly check to see if I can run them or I they just say that to cover their ass and not have to take returns.

The cvj boots come with a boot adapter to be able to fit the larger red boot. All pro offroad also make higher clearance boots that are more economical as well.

Yeah. Im looking to buy the whole cv axle because mine are shot. I just wanted to make sure I could clear the boot but I wasn’t sure how to properly measure to see.

If you're replacing the whole cv then the boot shouldn't matter?

So on the cvj remans the red boot they put on them is 1” in diameter bigger then the stock boot. On the website it says check for clearance because of the bigger boot. So that’s why I said I wasn’t 100% how to make sure they will fit before I order. I don’t think I’ll have a problem of anything catching or rubbing but I don’t want to pay over $1,000 for these axles and then have a problem and be stuck with them.

Yeah I got the middle grade cv axle with the red boot and it fit just like stock one. So you should be good. had the outer boot rip so it is now a spare until orielly ones go out.

Thanks! I was looking into the import direct because that’s what my buddy’s shop gets but it was $356 per axle.

Super indecisive on what cv to go with weather I should go with the $274 set from O’Reillys or spend the money on the CVJs. Also in need of a good brand for bushing an alignment bolts. Thanks!

Said it once, I'll say it again...never gotten more than a year out of O'Reilly, Duralast or Napa boots on my lifted Tacomas. O stars, not worth my time. OEM or reboot all the way.

what do you think about CVJremans? I’ve heard a lot of good things. I can’t get reboot the ones I have aren't OEM nor worth rebooting.
