I ordered a pair of inner tie rod from autozone, duralast es4026 for my 2004 tacoma prerunner. It seems a bit longer than my factory original inner rod. What model should i have ordered? It's about 1-2" longer??

Sounds like they sent you the wrong part or you ordered the wrong one by mistake (knowing AutoZone they probably mixed it up).

I ordered 555 inner tie rods from Low Range Offroad when I did mine

Sounds like you got Tundra or T100 inner tierods.

According to autozone.com, es4026 fits my truck... I ordered from rockauto previously, it was also too long? The outer tierod were exact fit.

What brand are the AutoZone ones? I would cross reference the part number from Autozone's website with the manufacturer's website...don't always trust AutoZone or places like it, they have a tendency to not always be correct.

Do you have a pic you can post with a comparison?

Just because it appears longer when not installed, does not necessarily mean it is "too long". For example, as long is the outer TRE can thread into it sufficiently without bottoming out and still giving a proper factory alignment, you should be all good to go.

Yeah...I wasn't going to go there just yet lol, but I agree. I got OEM outers and 555 inners when I did mine, would never trust the dirt cheap stuff from the parts stores though.

I recently went through the whole front end. Bought Moog. Everything aside from the inners are grease able and they are stamped 555. I was very pleased.
