Getting a new set of leaf springs.
    • Will I need longer shocks?
    • Will I need a carrier bearing drop?
    Truck is 2013 DCSB TRDOR.
New leaf spring coming in is Deaver expedition stage 2.
Based on discussion with Deaver, rear lift would be 1.5 to 2 inches.

    • Would the stock Bilstein 4600 be long enough for this (worst case) 2 inch lift? Or do I need add longer shocks like the 5100s?
    • Would the steeper angle (lift + short bed) put angular stress on the carrier bearing, that require a carrier drop? If so what shims/angle/setup is preferable for the drop?
    Thanks.

it would be best to get a new shock. I ran the Deavers with a stock shock for a little while and it was very limiting in terms of travel, everytime i would flex a little, the rear shocks would fully extend pretty violently and it restricted my down travel(droop) so i went with an aftermarket shock and it gained almost 2in of droop and helped a lot climbing over rutted areas and whatnot, keeping the rear tires planted on the ground.

Which aftermarket stock did you get?

I got the Kings! I went with the Tundra rear shocks for more travel but the hose fittings are different than tacoma so i had to cut out a lot of the top pocket on one side but they work well. The Tacoma Kings #25001-121A are longer than stock and will give you more travel. I believe they have a 8.5in stroke

Just give https://accutuneoffroad.com/ a call and they can tell you what you need. They may not have what you want unless you step up to at least Fox 2.0's
