    Hey everyone,

This is my first post here. A couple weeks back I bought a used front bumper guard from someone that I planned to fit on my 2017 access cab tacoma.

I don't know the brand or specific model (if any specific one), and I don't have the attachment parts for the guard. I went to one shop today to see if they could install it but they couldn't.

Could any of y'all help to identify this front bumper guard? The main source of ID is the bar code in the pictures. I can help read out what they read if needed. Do you think this would fit on my 3rd gen tacoma (I can give measurements)? Would I have a chance of getting it fabricated on or are the attaching pieces required? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Judging from the shape alone, I don’t think it’ll fit on a 3rd gen Tacoma. There’s no room for the front bumper to clear and you’ll likely need a custom fabricated bracket to mount it.

The grille guard looks like it's made by Westin. Looks like it belonged to a smaller and older truck from 90s or 2000s.

Could you describe the custom fabricated bracket a bit? Would it be expensive? What would the process of getting it done entail?

I wouldn’t know, you would have to ask a metal fabricator or something for an estimate. I honestly don’t think it’s worth the hassle.

Yeah, if you're paying hourly for a guy to fab something up, it'll probably far exceeded it's worth. I'd look for a properly built unit.

    Welcome to TW!

Unless you have a friend or neighbor who will fab some brackets for you for cheap it's likely not going to be worth the hassle. If you had the original brackets they may be able to be modified to fit, depending on how far 'off' they are. The first thing I would do is get a couple of friends to help you hold it up to the front of your truck and see where everything lines-up and if you like the look.

Fab shops in my area typically charge $100/ hour. It adds-up quick!
