Discount Tire and DX4 need your help.

In addition to the 7S and Tuff wheel models, DX4 will be adding a third model to their line-up called Gear. The DX4 Gear will be available in 15-inch through
17-inch sizes in 5 and 6 lug bolt patterns for lifted and stock trucks and SUVs. Pricing will be similar to the DX4 models currently available for purchase.

What we want to know is:
    • What do you think of the finishes, specifically the Dark Earth finish?
    • Is this a model you would purchase for your vehicle and if so, what size and finish?

I know this thread is really old, but I'm currently debating the DX4 Gear - Matte Black vs the American Outlaw Revolver. I'll end up putting Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain AT's on which should provide a healthy aggressive look with great off-road traction with the ability to handle snow when we decide to go visit it.

I'm trying to find out if the 16x8.5 +18 offset will fit my 19 TRD OR with 265/75s. Being that the stock wheels have a 4.98in backspacing and these have a 5.46in backspace.

    Hi, Tbgreen89-

The 8.5 ET+18 will fit great shod with 265/75R-16 tires. Availability for this wheel may be an issue, though. Which finish are you after?

Definitely the Matt Black. Just put a set of Cooper ATPs on the truck with the stock wheels. I don't wanna do a 0 offset wheel cause I wanna keep the stock mud flaps. Hopefully these won't rub.

Rubbing shouldn't be an issue at all because the wheel will only sit outwards about 1-inch when compared to stock.

It looks like this wheel is no longer available though, so I'll double check with the manufacturer come Monday (closed weekends) to double check availability.
