Do you guys make bed racks for a roof top tent? I have a 2nd gen short bed and want to make sure it would fit a 3rd gen short bed when I eventually upgrade.

Corey can make anything... dude is crazy talented, and does amazing work... but as for going from 2nd gen to 3rd gen, I'm pretty sure the bed dimensions are the same (width, length) but I know the bed is deeper, so I think the bed rails are a bit higher so the rack would sit higher in relation to top of the cab. if that makes sense.

course that's all based on what I've read/seen on the internet.

That bumper was a one off crazy turn over time for SEMA. We did not have time to make a jig or get dimensions. We are considering making a version for production down the line. As of right now we are focusing on the plate bumper. We of curse can always build another one on a vehicle that would be very similar.

We are a Fabrication shop and also do suspension lifts/body lifts. We could help out with certain stages of a motor swap but doing the full swap is out of our range of where we are trying to focus our work. Sorry you did not hear back from us. We have restructured how we handle messages now with extra help and trying to direct all messages to our email address Sales@insainfab.com to ensure we see them all.

There are some differences between how the bed rails are laid out. The bed width is slightly different between the two gens. Along with this the rail is at a different height. We utilized two different base plates for each bed rack. But to answer your question we do make a bed rack for the 2nd gen and also the 3rd gen as you will see in the next post. But they are currently not transferable between the two.

Did another great install today. This one was a 2016 Taco with the Baja Designs pods and a blank inserted for future install of a s8. We also did some weld on sliders and a bed rack.

Looks great! We need some more overall pictures, especially a front quarter shot to see how the black bumper blends with the black fender flares on a lighter colored truck. Drooling over the 16s and debating silver or MGM.

^^move that exhaust crossover pipe while you are at it. Silly Toyota using an exhaust pipe as a skid plate.

trust me I already banged it few times and almost had a heart attack as it makes a terrible noise. Some of the shields appear to be just fillers since they are so flimsy. I would hate to have a costly repair.

So I talked to Corey about you wanting skids for the 16. He said he doesn't fab skids but can order them for you. I believe he said RCI makes them. Hit him up a Sales@insainfab.com
