so with two lows, you can go really really low?

btw, where do you get the aftermarket parts? is this stock Toyota transfer case?

Yes I can go really really slow. Some of the parts are factory Toyota parts just from different vehicles and some are after market parts.

I am reading up on this. So basically with the 4 sticks you can have this configuration

    2wd hi
    2wd low
    2wd extra low

    4wd hi
    4wd low
    4wd extra low

    This is correct?

Actually because my crawler and transfer case have different gear ratios it's actually more like

    hi
    low
    really low
    and super low

I did it myself.. And no it's not cheap. Price all depends on what options you go with, and there are several different ways of doing it.

If you don't take your truck in the rocks theres really no point in spending the money on this kind of modification. Not sure what your plan is with your truck.

Do you know what model vehicles they have to come out of? I might be able to get my hands on one out of a 4th gen Limited model 4 runner. I know that would have the center diff lock which when left unlocked can be run in 4wd on the road without doing damage to the case.

    Is your 4runner V6. ?
Its 2004 -2008 4runner case out of V6 with 5 speed out (exact same setup us our trucks) the only difference case is AWD.
I am sure I will get one at some point, I am just being impatient:D
Found few mislabeled those that were correct had missing actuators and now I am thinking I may just get case with no actuators and get actuators out of the our (2gen) cases. Well we see how this work out.

I did see one in Virginia on Car Parts but they want $1200 for it so that's way out on my price range.. Plus 2004 with 3000 miles .. most likely its another one mislabled.
But if you can check yours ... See how much they want for it. I may take a trip to Virginia :)

Well I checked and the local one I know of was actually a V8 so it's different. But she did say there was another one in VA asking like $600 or something. Somewhere up in Yorktown.

One way to do that is to use the 4runner t case if you have the auto transmission. Then you would have to use the front drive cv's and spindles from the 4runner as well. Haven't really looked into it very much though.

OR you could get the FJ twin stick Case i build, use the switch for the ADD and then you would have the ability to go from 2wd to 4wd on the fly whether your in hi or lo and you wouldn't have to switch any of the front parts at all. Now thats a better approach IMO.
