Ok. Thanks. If you want to get rid of them let me know. I can modify them to make them work. It won't be cheap but it can fill a void out there.

Another option is to go with a lefty for those of you looking to do the conversion. IM sure Wyatt can chime in on the pros and cons of going this rout?

The lefty is not as strong as the fj case and is more expensive. It's a smaller unit and easier to clock, I had this discussion with Wyatt when I originally decided to go with twin sticks.

I had the same with him but decided on the lefty and as strength goes it more than ample I believe.

For sure the lefty is a strong case, I made my decision based on cost. I don't know of any failures with the lefty or fj cases.

The lefty is not a bad option for this as well but as stated above, it is not as strong as the FJ case. That being said it is probably strong enough for what most people will use it for. Just don't put it in lo gear and try to pull your buddy out. You'll be replacing gears for sure if not the entire case. I've seen two go cablewy like this and it wasn't a pretty sight.

I've run the FJ case with a 4.7 geared crawler in front of it with mine for w few years now with out a hick up. Love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

And thats coming from someone who sell's both the lefty and the FJ case's.

The lefty is a great product, but it's just not as strong as the FJ Case.

On the 2nd gen Tacos are the 2.7L 5spd and 4.0Lautomatic tcases the same/interchangeable?
It seems both have 23 spline input shafts and actuator plugs look identical to me... am I wrong?

I just installed an FJ case into my 2009 2.7 5sp manual. If I’m not mistaken, the only FJ case that has a different input shaft is the one for the 6sp manual. So if you are installing an FJ case into a V6 with an auto, you should be okay. As far as the “actuator plugs”, the only plugs I had to worry about were the 2wd/4wd sensor and the hi/lo sensor. They can be swapped right over from your Taco case to your new FJ case.

Does anyone have a part supplier for the 22 spline Input shaft that is in the Tacoma originally, that needs to go into the FJ T-case?

I'd like to do that without removing my Input shaft from my Taco's T-case and just leave it together, for several reasons.

I’m assuming you have a V6 with a manual, you’ll need to obtain a transfer case input shaft from another V6 manual 4x4 to do the FJ case swap. If you’re unwilling to use your own, I’d reach out to Wyatt at Rock Solid Toys or source one from a wrecker. Sorry I could not be more helpful.
