Install a front diff locker on 4x2

I am reaching out to see if anyone has installed a front diff locker onto a 2005-2012 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road Prenner?

 

You have no front differential to lock...?

 

You could do it.

Would just involve installing a 4x4 front end too.

For real though.

Two wheel drive truck is missing a transfer case and a front differential and front axles. Plus all the brackets and electronics etc etc that support all that.

You’d have to install (most of) that to make a front locker plausible.

Best bet is find someone with a 4x4 and crawl under it to compare it with the drivetrain you have.

It’s totally doable and lots of people on here have done it. But it’s labor and $$ intensive. Most of the time it is easier and cheaper to just start with a 4x4.
