it's amazing what Google can find if you ask it the right question. Like where can I get a Brandmotion item installed in Tampa, Florida.

I truly appreciate the wise-ass and dumb responses. I have actual reached out to many shops. Believe it or not googling and using Wikipedia is not a panacea to actually calling and visiting them to verify it they still do the work. If it was that simply, I would post it as a complete last resort.

The question is does anyone know how to do it? The answer appears to be no.

However, I do appreciate the very few intelligent responses.

The real tragedy here is people don't realize there is a whole world outside of their windshield that needs to have attention focused on it. The best collision avoidance system is yourself. It's an aftermarket system he wants installed so it probably wouldn't work anyway.

Reading and a college education is overrated ... said no one ever ... it appears the geniuses missed this part:

"I appreciate all of the thoughtful responses and the for the others it pretty much confirms my assumption about these forums ... it actually lowers your umbrella policy premium(that means money)... it is a fleet vehicle (this means I don't drive it) ... it also has a DVR (this means it records video - this is the oart that saves me money) ... the seat belt doesn't vibrate (this would be an accessory)..."

This is a business decision meaning a work for a living.

If you have anything value to add, please do so. If not, please go back to your video games and blocks.

And how would the insurance company know? Couldn't you just lie to them? If you do get into an accident just say it's aftermarket and never worked anyway.

It is an umbrella policy not the primary insurance. It saves a lot. Three fold the cost per year.

I know the knuckle-draggers on here don’t understand the business part for obvious reasons. The reason why it is an issue this year is because the new Tacoma’s have it, which opened up the savings. I cannot run out and buy all new trucks because of depreciation, which I know the knuckle-draggers have never heard of.

I do appreciate all of the intelligent responses.

This thread is fucking money! I think the op is the second coming of Jimmy..cutting fools left and right.

Here’s my non college educated, knuckle dragging, mouth breathing opinion.

Knock yourself out trying to install it on your own.
When your insurance company verifies you have it installed, they are going to verify it was installed professionally, correctly, and properly calibrated.
Or else it doesn’t mean shit to them.

If Toyota Safety Sense actually works, I can understand insurance companies giving a discount for having a system that may actually prevent an accident. However, I find it doubtful that they are going to give a discount for some aftermarket tinker toy system that only beeps and vibrates when you're about to get in a wreck. If they do give a discount, that's great.

I also bet that at least 1 of the employees driving the truck is smart enough to find the fuse for this system.

He said it’s a fleet vehicle. I don’t know what the financial situation was or if he knew the 18s had radar cruise.

If this device is truly for a business and fleet vehicles.. man you've gotta find a better device with an installer network. The PDF alone reeks of the "typical china dashcam" type device and I'd be weary of having something like this tied into my vehicle's wiring.

I mean the wiring diagram isn't really hard to decipher and you would just need to find a wiring diagram for your specific Tacoma. The rest is just using those clamp-on connectors and doing a clean job.

But here's my criticism - you join here and just expect us to do the work for you? So you can save money on your business? Are we just free knowledge and labor?
