I know this subject has been beat to death but im no master electrician so I wanted to double check. I bought a brush guard for my truck so I could mount some driving lights. My gf bought me some 130 watt kc daylighter driving lights for christmas. The instructions are straight forward but I wanted to tie the kc lights into my highbeams on the truck. This will be a switched setup. What wire do I need to tie into from my switch going to the highbeams? Color of the wire and best location to tie into it would be great! It seems that people come through the firewall at the grommet for the ebrake, any other good spots? Thanks in advance for any tips or advice :humble:

Do you want to be able to turn the lights on manually and have the option of on with high beams?

I believe the way the instructions read, you have to flip the switch to on in order for the daylighters to be able to come on while im using the highbeams. That make any sense? And this is for an 2002 sr5 with the 2.7l if it makes any difference. Thank you

I assume the kit includes a relay that the high beams will control. I cannot remember exactly which wire but if you turn you high beams on and have a volt meter you can flip the high beams and test the plug that plugs into the light bulb in your headlight then trace that wire and just use a t tap or slice it. Solder would be the best way but that's your call.

The relay says no:2x20a/14vdc. Dc12v. Wiring also has a 25amp fuse for the power supply line going to the battery and a 3amp fuse for thenwhite wirengoing from the switch to the highbeam wire
