Install lower ball joint with steering knuckle off truck?

    I have a 1998 SR5 and I'm replacing the lower ball joint. At the moment I have the steering knuckle off the truck, and it would be easier to attach the lower ball joint while it's in the vise. Do you think this will cause alignment problems when attaching it back to the control arm? Most videos I see the LBJ is bolted on to the knuckle after the castle nut is loosely fitted, but not having done this, I don't want to screw up the sequence after putting thread locker on

    Nah, it'll be fine, I've taken them apart and put them together both ways.
