Whats average installation time of the following setup? And what would be a fair install price by a shop?
    • 5100s x4 with ome 887s preassembled
    • 1/4 taco lean spacer
    • Light racing UCAs
    • 1.5" rear block
    Located in DFW

That would take me about 6-8 hrs.

Depends on the shop's experience, but I would expect that's the high side since I've only done similar installs three times.

If they're also doing the alignment for you, that can take time with the Light Racing UCA's - the preload on the coils has to be relieved to rotate the upper ball joint and there can be some trial-and-error to getting your alignment right. If the shop is good, they'll be able to do an "educated guess" for the upper ball joint setting based on your lift height and get it close the first time.

It really all depends. I would bet the labor rates the in Dallas area are a little bit more than here in Iowa.....but I'd want about $400-$500 bucks if I had a shop and was doing it, especially if I didn't make anything on the parts.

On a sidenote - you're really getting some nice hardware for the front - my recommendation is to skip a block out back and get yourself a $200 add a leaf or shell out for a new leaf pack altogether......that will be a more balanced setup and will give you a great ride.

One shop quoted me 1100 including alignment. Sounds like complete robbery.

If you figure an alignment is ~$100 and average shop rates are ~$80 that is 12.5 hours of work. Seems high. In the driveway, weekend mechanics can install that lift in about 6 hours and that's with beverage breaks.

The dealer installed my Icon kit and aligned it for free.
that price probably isn't too far off since you didn't buy the parts from them. Around here, you'd be lucky to get a place to install carry in parts. You figure $120/hr for a good part of the day and $150 for alignment.
and ditch the block and get AAL if paying someone to do it, like mentioned above

Make a thread in the Texas section and come down to Houston, we can do it in a few hours for beer and food. The rear is completely a breeze with blocks too.

I had 5100s all around with 887s (not pre assembled) and an AAL installed at my dealership. 5 hours plus an alignment
