    Hello

New guy here and have a question that seems really dumb but I am stumped.....not unsual at 68 yrs old. I have a 2007 double cab and recently had the truck repainted and replaced the bleached out roof moulding.

Here is my issue the Body shop tried to glue in the front seem at the winshield the glue. it let go on the 3rd day when I hit the freeway.

So looking at the mess with the glue and sealent I saw that the root cause of the issue was the moulding clip was broken, cleaned all of the previous crap out of the channel and was ready to install the clip............... so here the dumb question the new part has what appears to be a two sided tape, not sure that is the answer I was not able to peel the backing off, so is there a adhesive that should be used? stumped................

Thank you in advance for any ideas
