So the TRD sport auto comes with 4.56m from the factory?

Also, for everyone that's done the regesring did you recalibrate your speedo? How is that done, via computer? Sorry for the noob question just curious

I went from stock 3.91s to 4.56 then to 4.88s and i used the hypertech speed calibrator. I have 33x12.50x20s and just calibrated using the tire size input bc inputting the gears will not work.

Do you really have issues with yours?

I don't know rpm on mine (I think somewhere between 2-3k) but it'll do 70-75 in fifth no problem as long as it's a flat road of course.

I also have a shift sense though.

I think it's being in elevation and the hills that i don't like going above 70 cuz my exhaust is so loud and drones especially at high rpm

It was $230 ish for the hypertech calibrator depends on where you buy it. it is just a plug and play unit. I used my lap top inside the truck to calibrate it.

Are you a TRD OR? If so, how did they even get 4.56s in your 8.7 diff? Yukon doesnt even make gears for the 8.7 diffs yet.

I asked in this thread a while back, but I don't think anyone responded. Do any of you have the diff howl after regearing?

Specifically, it would be nice to hear from someone who did have the howl beforehand. Do you still have it or no?

I know this wont help but I didn't have it prior and def don't know now after my exhaust. my buddy had his 3rd swapped from the dealer and still had a howl. We installed a carrier bearing drop and it minimized his howl

    Loud as hell URD exhaust!
I have it..its more of a whir sound than a howl. But it wasnt there before the gears.

Did before, don't after. Properly installed and spaced gears won't howl.

It's a known issue. My diff howl was replaced under warranty and I had 4.88 installed in the new diff.
