    impact makes taking tires off easier...but unnecessary on removing the coilovers

    and the torque wrench is good...but not necessary

    When I replaced my rear shocks a couple weeks ago, it was the first time I used an impact wrench. DAMN THAT SHIT WAS FAST!!!!! :) I didn't know they came in an electric version - I had only seen the air guns at discount tire. Gonna have to pick one up!

    Im sorry guys, im really unsure about this. this would be a good project for when im older, so i guess im gonna look around for some people to install them, i have the extra money to install them, but thanks for the suggestions guys

    understandable...but know that it really is EASY...as easy as putting on that bullbar...

    it just takes some work convincing yourself that youre capable of doing it...

    when i installed my coilovers...it was the first time i had ever even touched my suspension...much less removed it and replaced it

    Icon Coil-overs, TC UCA, with Bilstein 5150 and Icon 3 leaf pack. 17" Moto Metal 951 4.5" Backspacing wrapped in 285/70/17 BFG AT's. Demello front bumper and Avid offroad sliders.
    Installation is simple for the Bilstein 5100's. If can do it you can do it. I actually got the Billies front and back and the TC UCA's from Down South Motorsports for just under $900 I believe. Which is a great price, Thx Down South!!

    Ratchet set and jack stands is all used for the installation. Its a breeze, except for the TC UCA's no way I coulda done that without Chris.

    would it help to go to a tire store, my friends dad owns an NTB which was the person who hooked me up with the BFG's, so maybe if i ask him i can borrow a lift and an impact wrench

    No problem. We're all here to make your ride the shit!

    Before installing (or even buying) my lift, I researched this site A LOT. Read lots of peoples build threads, looked at install videos on YouTube, etc... It really is as simple as unbolting the old and bolting back on the new. Well, there's that little trip to PepBoys... :) 3 bolts on the top of the shock tower and one bolt at the bottom of the strut.

    He hit the bolt repeatedly with a hammer. Had to disconnect the air bag electrical to get it outta the way. And putting the huge bolt back in he went backwards because other way is damn near impossible.

    I didn't disconnect anything (although probably would have been easier). But I did have to bend the inner part of the wheel well out some to clear the bolt. And I almost put the bolt in backwards, but managed to work it back in the original direction. It was definitely the longest part of the install - just messing with that damned bolt!
