Finally got my Ride Rites installed. Started with 10psi, rode like crap, went down to 5, even worse, then went up to 15PSI and that seems to be the sweet spot.

For those who use the air bags for a lift make sure to adjust the brake proportioning valve or ad an extension just like you would with any lift. Have been running the airbags for about 10 years on a Tundra and the Cradles for about 2 years...love them! Cradles are great and you don't have to drain the bags when going on a lift with the cradles either!

I have a question that maybe someone could answer.
If you have the air bags installed and you take your truck to a garage and they lift the truck up by the frame and the axle is just hanging with no support.
Since the frame and the axle are now connected together with the air bag.
Could that damage the air bag?
    Thanks

Supposed to drain the air out of them first.

That is why you want the daystar cradles, as they allow you to disconnect the back from the lower support.

+1 On the Daystar Cradles. No more draining air out when they put your truck on the lift. Just one of the benefits running the cradles .

So are you simply removing the bolt that holds the lower part of the bag to the bracket and then installing these brackets? More info please! I have the Firestone Riderites

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did this set you back? I want to put airbags in my diesel next spring and want to know a ballpark cost. Installation looks pretty easy from your photos, do they just bolt right in or did you have to drill some holes?

I'd like to hear from everyone that does and their experience as well as how many miles they have with the cradles.

I have about 20,000 miles. It even survived having 1000 lbs in the bed with a trailer which weighed about 2000 lbs and had no problems driving from Washington to san diego.

so are a lot of things, like first gen raptors... just wanted to know how they have been holding up in the real world. as well the air bags and brackets. the article i posted says the brackets werent designed for the shock of coming down hard on the cradle.
