So this morning I installed my spindles in my driveway, and when I was backing out into the street I heard a clicking noise on the passenger side (only in reverse). And when I was driving down the street and would turn to the left the wheel would just pull out of my hand and keep going left!!

Then I looked closer and I noticed my wheels have a camber.
And I also noticed that my right wheel rubs the spindle, but the left doesn't.

When I was trying to get the end of the steering rod (on both sides) into the hole on the spindle, it wasn't going in, so I had to file the spindle hole and bang the tie rod end I'm with a hammer. It was rediciolous.

Why would only one tire rub the spindle? Why would I hear a click in reverse?

I know I need an alignment, but what else do I need? What is happening?

HELP PLASE!!! I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT'S SAFE TO DRIVE!

Not sure what is going on, but I do know this, when it comes to critical stuff like this, I have a pro do it. I know you get a lot of "Ah, it's easy brah, just do this, do that". B/S, there is no warranty on these forums so take them with a boulder sized grain of salt.

It probably is not safe to drive, have a pro deal with it, don't endanger other motorists and your self...

i was thinking the LCA bushing as well. i had no issues with my spindle install... just needed an alignment, maybe take pics of where its rubbing? i know socalrunner has an engage LT kit with their spindle but with the rims he had, the weights used to rub on the spindle i think and it made some clicking noises.
its honestly not that hard to install, the hardest part is doing the brake lines, but i agree about not driving until its figured out and fixed:cool:

I have the stock rims and the bushings are not shot cause it was fine before the spindles went on.

And install for 300 then an alignment? Can't afford that.

I'll go check the weights right now, but why would one tire rub and one not? Like the sidewall on the spindle rub..

only his passenger side rubbed as well...not sure why. i would say its because the stock wheels dont have enough backspacing but in that case both should rub and ive seen a few trucks on here with stock wheels and spindles with no issues. agreed on the install price, thats crazy. just an fyi i would check the two new bolts after a couple hundred miles, mine were a bit looser

Yeah rc, that's what I was planning on.. Tightening the bolts. Cause I drove for a little on my leaf pack then tightenened the u bolts back up. So they could "vibrate into place / settle".

And guys, I read about the wheel weight before, but didn't even think about that. And I just looked at my inner weights, and they were sheared in half!! So I just pulled it off.

Now feel a little better, but why would the passenger side be closer? Should I just get like 1/2 spacers after alignment?

nice! thats good to hear, not sure why it would be closer but if it doesnt rub anymore why bother with spacers? you could if you wanted to, it would look nicer:)

I'm gonna call camburg and see what's up, but ill probably end up with spacers so it looks tougher.

But dude, I thought it pulled only to the left. As I took it down the street I noticed that once I almost max my steering wheel to either the left or right.. It will just pull THAT WAY really hard.

What do you think that is? Do you think I need new uca's?

I have the adjustable 5100s for the front, but didn't put them on yet. Do you think adjusting them to like .85 will help after I put them on?

I think that my uca's might just be too flat, not pointed downward enough.. And so it pulls?

I doubt the alignment will help if I was to get one. And the camber really makes the tire wear. So then I'm thinking again that it might be a new uca.

I'm really confused. Please everyone, HELP A BROTHA OUT!! haha

Get it aligned and I have a feeling it will be better. My alignment was so out of whack after I put mine on that when I dove at any speed the tires sounded like I was peeling out due to the alignment being that thrown off. Drive it to the closest place to get it aligned. I have front spidertrax spacers on and I love the width they give when included with the spindles. I have stock rims as well.

Hey man, your build is sweet first of all. I like your rear bumper too.

And YES my wheels sounded like i was peeling out! Were yours pulling to both sides really bad?? What did you do? Did the alignment fix it?

I run 16's fine Chris so I think not. And yes alignment fixed everything.

I had ucas and coilovers before the spindles. You don't need to run ucas if you just have the spindles.

    Ahh fuck!! Yeah I did.

When I was installing them I was like what the fuck why don't they fit, and tried the other way and realized it fit, but thought it should go same as stock. The guy at camburg didn't tell me that!!!

    Thanks lol
