So I just finished putting on my lift (OME 882 in front, Dakars in rear), and now i'm moving on to tires. I ordered some hankook dynapro's (285/75/16) which should be here later this week. My question is...are the stock rims wide enough to accommodate a 285? I am aware that there is too much backspacing therefore i was thinking of running some spidertrax 1.5" spacers. Thanks in advance for the help!

They fit stock wheels fine. The only issue you'll have is at full lock the tires will rub slightly on the frame. Now if you get the spacers they will accommodate the rub on the frame but you'll create rubbing on the fender where your mudflaps would be cause your pushing the tires out. A little trimming and your good to go. I had 1.5 spidertrax spacers on mine but took it off because it looked like a crab taking a dump! Lol

16x8 wheels with proper offset will give the 285's it's true fitment, food for thought. But stock wheels is manageable.

Yeah I know the stock wheels aren't ideal for a 285, but new wheels aren't in the budget right now. All i need to do now is find a shop that is willing to mount the 285's to the stock wheels.

I tried stock wheels with that size and quarter inch spacers and they still rubbed on the upper control arm but no rub on frame or fenders but i eventually got wheels

I just ordered some 1.25" spacers. Hopefully it'll be enough to clear the UCA but not stick the wheels out an obnoxious amount.

with a 285 the tires will look to narrow with the spacers and look cheesy and that's why I removed them off my truck. I just grinded down the upper control arms a little bit to avoid the inner sidewall of the tires and it's been fine. Wanna get camburg UCA's!
