    no problem at all.

i used in/exterior scotch double sided sticky tape, make sure its the gray colored one with the red backing. @ $4.95 a roll

its very easy to install these, make sure you take it slow and start at the top of your head light, cause if you put as much tape as i did, it will be nearly impossible to try and start over without breaking the eyelid.

i went to body shops all over town everyone wanted $150-$200 just to paint the front of the eyelids, even the little mexican shops wanted $150. then i saw a maaco commercial and i went there. the guy said "shit i'll paint that for $35" then i asked him to clear coat the back of the eyelids just so the tape would stick better. when i went back in two days he had color match, painted and clear coated the front and back of both eyelids and just charged me an extra $5 for the back. so $40 (no tax) total for the paint job.

the eye lids come already painted in black primer. yes you can use spray paint. here is a website that will make you a color match can of paint and ship it to you. https://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/place_order2.cgi

    i hope this helps!

Gives the truck a definite look. The way headlight lenses start clouding up now-a-days he will need the replace them one of these days anyway if he plans on keeping the truck for a while. I wish they would go back to glass for head light lenses! You never have to worry about them clouding up and I think they would take a hit better in the log run than plastic.
Oh yeah, btw, I hope you don’t drive at night with the auxiliary lights on all the time. I drive for a living and those “high beam bumper lights” really get annoying after being on the road for 9 or 10 hours! If you check your state code, most states tell you to treat the auxiliary lights as you would high beam lights and turn them off when meeting other vehicles or when following behind someone. I know almost everyone that have them keep them on continuously at night but that does not make it right and it contributes to driver fatigue for the other driver. Besides, at night , doing 70 mph, the small help they give you is almost nonexistent…meaning you will be right on top of something before they light it up at all. They do not help in fog because they are a white light and everyone knows you need amber light for help in fog. Please be considerate to other drivers sharing the road with you and turn them off…

yeah i always drive with the fog lights on. yeah some people high beam me but then when i look at them their car is low to begin with. i've never had a problem with the cops here/anywhere. does yellow help with fog? or is that just amber?

i kinda think white lights help too cause when i was driving up to santa barbra last month i was driving at night the sky got pitch black super foggy and i had all of my lights on there were 3 lanes when i looked in my rear view everyone except the 18's were all lined up behind me, using me for light i guess? hahaha

I might not be looking in the right place, but I haven't seen anything about these t-rexs for 1st Gens. Should I assume they don't exist or is there a proper name for them?

I purchased the T1's and adhered them with Epoxy made for plastics. I didn't want the double sided tape to loose adhesiveness 10 years from now. Just epoxy the underneath, and slide it on to the light. Then wet sand the edges. I also have an ARB and noticed the eyelids are covered by the front of the bar unless you look at them from the side. Still looks good IMO, completes the line of the grill. Also, I Line X'd the ARB so it'll never catch any rust and so it'd match the fender flares. The Westin chrome bars don't hold up for crap against anything, I had mine shoved into the front grille at a gas station by an old man doing 5 mph. It literally crumpled in and I had the upper supports, so it was time for an ARB. Good job on your truck, looks good.
