    LOL.

    well played @GreyBaldTaco.

I was just being the typical keyboard bully. Was over hearing the MT guys bash on the AT guys for switching out their shifters for something custom.

Simple yet easy to overlook if you are overthinking it, are you sure you didn't accidentally press the light and turn it on? that bypasses the on/door/off mode switch.

    J.

In my experience with installing MESO dome lights I to didn’t unhook battery and blew the 7.5 fuse. Once replaced the lights worked but would not automatically turn off. Had to turn off and on by switch.

After dealership visit it was Diagnosed as a fried overhead panel

    Hope yours is different.

Did they turn on (understand not off) with the doors or just the switch?

I can’t remember. After seeing they wouldn’t turn off except when it reached the 20 minute safety feature I just used the switch till I had the console replaced.

Once replaced I’ve left it stock. MESO stated only way it could of fried the console was “if” I shorted the contact springs when installing the”dome” light.

which is what I believed happened as I first installed it backwards and when switching around it arched.

Now I’m gun shy about re-installing.

And just to be clear this was not a MESO issue, but a “ not following directions” on my part issue.
