That's a good question cause I keep my dogs back there and they have no vents. And the mesh windows are no longer available.

not 100 miles but about 10 miles or so at 70 mph, i did with the windows out. the only thing i noticed is the back flaps that velcro to the tailgate window just wave a bit, and the back zippers rest right against the rear pillar, or flap a bit. as for the entire unit though, that was solid as with the windows up. i wouldnt see an issue with the windows out for a while aside from the zipper agains that rearmost arm, but even then...

Actually wanted a Softopper originally but just ordered my Bestop for $490 flat, no shipping and handling on www.StreetSideAuto.com. Can't beat that for such a versatile topper!!
1.) for those of you who ordered from the same site, how long did you have to wait?
2.) if anyone is about to buy i have the code for $55 off, let me know

I'm still voting for a Bestop Sticky....

2 issues I'm having with my bestop.

1 is bubbles at the bottom of the side windows, looks like a defect in the adhering process, if everyone else has similar issues i can live with it it's pretty minor, but if this is a crazy issue that may cause me issues in the future I may ask Bestop for some advice.

2 Rubbing on the bracket for the rear support.

    anyone else experiencing these?

The bubbling no. But the windows rub. My windows have marks where the frame rubs it but no big deal.

I liked my Bestop originally but then when I went down to southern AZ the top stretched a lot and started to flap around and then turned into a giant air damn, my gas milage went down to 12-13 mpg so I took mine off for a while.

I recently put it back on but just left it folded down. I am tempted to put it back up to see what kind of milage I get with it back up. One thing I dont like is that every time you have to fold it down you have to slide out all 3 windows and they are just the right size to be inconvienant.

you can roll the windows up in a picture tube or something. I think bestop even sells a thing you roll them up in and store them. I don't think its that big of a deal, considering if how big of a pain in the ass if I wanted to take a fiberglass shell off. I am good with the bestop. Also there are several adjustments on the bestop. When it gets hot and adjust mine tight. Not that big of a deal. I like mine a lot works for what I need it for and a lot cheaper then a fiberglass shell, without the weight.

I totally agree with why you like the bestop, I like mine for all the same reasons. As for the adjustments, mine was on the tightest setting and still loose and flopping around. Thats one of the things about being down in the hot arizona sun and heat.

I'm installin mine right now. Having trouble gettint he tailgate bar in. Mine is REALLY tight right now, and it keeps pulling the bars off the truck at the back end because there's so much pressure on it.

Anyone got any tips for me? Do I just tighten the C clamps down as tight as I can? I don't want to snap any plastic or anything.

bestop installed. i was trying to install my top last saturday and it was around 50 degrees outside and sure enough that thing would not zip together. but had the frame put up and today got up to around 80 let it sit in the sun for a few hours and what a difference, zipped it up with no problem.

the top looks awesome and i really like it the only issue i have is the rear window, does it just sit on top of the tailgate? there is nothing to latch on to? but other than that looks pretty nice and useful. we will be using this top for our camping trips. here's a few pics.[IMG]

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this.

I'd like to hear from everyone, how it effected you gas millage. It's a big reason I dont want to go leer. But this thing looks "flappy" and not too much better.
