Just a recap, I ordered the kit from hydrahawk/GS Auto Interiors & more on ebay. custom ordered black. Really great seller, I highly recommend. They came in a katzkins box so I'm assuming they are katzkins.

I did the seats on saturday. It took me about 6 hours to do all the seats. I did the door panel inserts on sunday. My hands are killing me between raw knuckles, cuts from razor blades, and bruises but it was definitely worth it.

It was also a task to find a pair of hog ring pliers. I called 3 different sears stores and none of them had them in stock. I ended up finding a pair at tractor supply on friday night.

I recommend using a set of snap ring pliers to remove the hog rings by stretching them apart. I started using a pair of dikes/wire cutters but the hog rings are really thick. The snap ring pliers worked a lot better.

Overall the concept of installing them wasnt too difficult it was just a tedious and time intensive job.

I'm gonna have my mom sew up a custom black cover for the center console when I go visit my folks for thanksgiving.

    Here's the pics.

I paid $675 shipped for them.

I used permatex headliner and carpet adhesive for the panels. The panels didn't turn out 100% like I wanted them to but I am happy with them overall. Make sure you get all the old glue off otherwise the bumps will show through.

Quality/thickness of the leather is great. The front seats are real leather and the backs are pleather/vinyl.

These are replacement covers. I had to disassemble the seats and remove the old cloth covers to install these. These are the same covers an upholstery shop would order and install for a dealer if you bought a car and wanted the dealer to install leather in it.

So far I am loving these things, I had my golden retriever in the truck last night and its nice to not have his hair stick to the seats. Cleanup is very easy. Even though they are brand new I plan on giving them a conditioning this weekend with some lexol leather conditioner. Lexol is what BMW recommends people to use on their leather seats, Plus lexol is made a few miles from my house in Marietta GA. Nice to support a local company.
