I believe that horizontal adjustments are the standard across the aftermarket LED housing industry. Morimoto has the same.

Well I guess since the sample pool is so small (2), it’s hard to know.

I have these two and I am thinking of selling them and getting some Alpharex headlights now, the price is what is making me hesitant but you do get what you pay for!

In terms of performance, you are over paying for the Alpharex. They have pretty bad light throw. Better off with the Morimoto or OEM LED headlights.

Ye, the Morimoto are around the same price, if not cheaper than the Alpharex headlights. OEM headlights are the most expensive, but can be put under warranty with Toyota.

Both outperform the Alpharex headlights. Alpharex is more for, if you have money to burn for looks. The Alpharex do look nice though.

You should take a look at the new alpharex luxx. They go for $795.

Those are the OEM LED knock offs right?
I recall @crashnburn80 saying that they have a really bad light pattern.

@crashnburn80 come preach the truth to the people my brother. For the record I am not trolling crashnburn, I love that he actually takes the time to breakdown the science and reasons on why alpharex and the other Chinese knockoffs are dog sh#%.

If you wanna pay 900 bucks to have a cool startup sequence more power to you. It’s a free country and you can spend your money however you want.

Horizontal adjustments weren't necessary with mine. :notsure: Having extra adjustment provisions isn't a bad thing (as long as they don't drift on their own), if your radiator support is bent/tweaked/cracked from a collision or hard off-road use.

From this thread, the Morimoto XBs appeared to have a high failure rate. My Alpharex headlights stood up to off-road abuse well this whole season, getting slapped by tree branches that knock back side mirrors and surviving vibration levels that caused radiator support bushing bolts to loosen.

Yeah. They scatter light a bit due to a small cutout at the top where light seeps through. Overall im pretty happy with the light pattern though, shoots a lot further than my oem projectors. Even though the cutoff isnt as clean.

Running a set of spyderauto headlights. I will be switching to a set or morimoto xb headlights soon though

    AlphaRex Projectors covered here:
    AlphaRex reflector output shown here:
Needless to say output performance and pattern on both AphaRex products is awful, the products are a complete joke of a headlight and not a legitimate headlight product, which really sucks for those that have spent their hard earned money on them. By comparison the OEM LEDs are the highest performing lights available (even better than Morimoto, which is also a decent upgrade). The OEM LEDs have excellent beam pattern and highest output intensity as one would expect from a quality automotive manufacture, as shown: Here, here and here.

So I have a question, If I am going to install these headlights on my SR5, do I need to do any cutting/splicing for the little "light dance" when I would lock/unlock? Or would I just connect the fuse tap to the indicated fuse. And if so what fuse would it be? Thank you

The latest version of the AlphaRex don’t have the logo black outlined, it’s fully clear with a slight impression of their logo in the clear lens section. Barely noticeable. As an FYI.

Man wish I saw @crashnburn80 post or any real review before I purchased. I absolutely love the look of these Alpharex headlights but the output is terrible. I was running some PIAA led bulbs in my stock 2017 before and was more impressed with that lol. I was thinking these would improve the distance lighting but not the case. Oh well I guess. Looks are good but that’s about It.
