Here's what I installed on the front
    TRD%20pro%201_23886209894012ff41997fb07480216b7a3eaa60.jpg

Here is what was supposed to go on the rear plus a 3 leaf AAL from Headstrong
    trd%20pro%202_0af878daafe6c98954497451ea132f5527435c7a.jpg

the bottom of the rear shocks were too wide to fit into the mount and the bolt holes in the shock were bigger than the truck holes. What can I do to get them installed, if anything? Is there a bracket that one can buy that will fit between the shock and mount to accommodate the size difference?

    IMG_2433_ac2262b0453409f262a5e3ae4244f3b8e7671938.jpg

The next issue is the front coil/shock pack which was supposed to give me 1 3/4" lift didn't give me any lift and the AAL in the rear gave me about a 2" lift. So the front is 20.5" center of hub to fender and the rear is 23.5".

Needless to say I am a little disappointed.

Grind down the shock eyes and find a bushing at the LHS that fits between the bolt and the eye.

Too bad about the fronts though. Did you cycle the suspension before you measured?

    Cycle the suspension?

Actually I had spacers on the front and they measured 22" before the swap, now the front is 20.5". That's a 3" rake, is that too much?

Cycle = run the suspension up/down through its travel then measure at its resting position.

I don't think it looks too bad. Put some weight in the back and call it good. That rear AAL will probably settle a bit and you'll end up with less rake. It's not going to adversely affect anything, it's just whether you can live with how it looks.

Why did you think you would gain lift when you took out the spacers? TRD pro suspension is 1" lift, max.

2" spacers will give 3" of lift.

I took out a 1" spacer which gave me 2" lift. I was told the TRD Pro suspension would give me 1 3/4" lift so I figured I would lose about 1/4" of lift with this suspension. At 20.5", I don't think I got any lift from stock.

Hi 58 LesPaul - btw I love your handle being a guitar player myself! Haha - mine would be Martin D42!!
I have a TRD Pro lift on my truck and it was plug and play. I don't get it? I got 1 3/4" in the front and I used an ICON progressive AAL in the rear and left out the helper so it would be level. It's perfect! No vibes or any other driveability issues and it gives me a bit more clearance off road. I'm an old guy so I don't want my truck too tall and the PRO kit worked great.

Why is 1 of your front shock spring cups in a different position than the other? You can see the snap ring groove on 1 but not the other. Also the one with the exposed snap ring groove has noticeably more space between the cup and the sticker.

Like I said before, I had 2 inch spacer lift and thought it was a little high so thinking this Pro kit would drop me 1/4" seemed ideal. Now my front is back down to stock.

Which side did you install each front strut too? They are side specific.

The rears should be plug and play, strange they don't fit.

Yes, I installed the one on the right in the picture on the driver side for Taco lean. It is the one that has the coil set at the higher slot.

So I guess a top spacer is the only way to lift the front another inch?

Do you all think the AAL will settle much?

Sine there's obviously at least 2 snap ring grooves, is there any chance that there's 4, like the 5100s?

The springs are different I think they're Eibachs so you should be getting lift from them.

Nope. the TRD pro / baja shocks only have two positions. higher one (more spring preload) for driver, and lower one for passenger.

TRD Pro / baja is about 1-1.5in of lift MUCH less than your spacers which were probably close to 3in of lift.

Which would be the better option, a top spacer or a thicker spring seat? I didn't know there was a thicker spring seat to add lift.

Is the rear lower shock mount only a little bit too narrow? That happened to me with my 5100s. I just took a monkey wrench and bent the tabs outwards to get it to fit. Then lightly tapped it in with a rubber mallet. Haven't had any issues.
